Rep. Greg Cheney pushes back against bill allowing incarcerated murderers and rapists to serve as jurors, vote, run for office

Rep. Greg Cheney, R-Battle Ground, strongly opposes a proposed bill discussed with KGNW’s Georgeanne Rice. The bill, which would grant convicted serial murderers and rapists the ability to serve as jurors, vote, and run for elected office while incarcerated, is being considered in Olympia. During the interview, Cheney emphasized that House Bill 2030 places a priority on the rights of criminals over those of victims, a stance he vehemently opposes.
